I'm going to Lexus tomorrow to ask about this specifically. The NCF says the sport package has a different steering rack too. I want to validate this with part numbers.
I also know in the past there have been Toyota "options" you could get at purchase but not replace. My '88 GTS Corolla had a swaybar. The SR5 did not. It was not possible to buy a new lower control arm with the swaybar bracket. I had to grind off the welds and weld the old one onto my new lower control arm after the original was destroyed.
I'll know more tomorrow.

I test drove the car with the Sports package, but chose the Luxury package instead because I felt it was a little twitchy with the sports shocks. Plus I wanted the wood and all the goodies.
I'm thinking of installing Tanabe NF and/or stronger sway bars later on to minimize roll, but I don't want to lose comfort.

I went to Lexus and talked to their parts guy. He said the sways are all the same. Only the shocks and springs are different. He also could not find any difference in steering racks. So the sport suspension is just a set of lowering springs (10mm) and different shock valving.
I would definitely opt for aftermarket before paying Lexus prices for the OEM pieces.

In the Seattle Area I called all the dealers around they say its nto offered and not possbile to add the sports suspension unless it came with the car. Because they set the ECU along with the suspension to do things I caLL BS on that and totally gay but they say you can't even order the sport parts.....

ISbb, your front lip is absolutely beautiful! That'll be my next purchase. Thanks for liberating more of my dollars! ![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I had the sport springs/shocks and while that setup was a bit stiffer than the stock setup, it was still a little too soft for me. I understand that you want to keep everything OEM but here, I just bought Eibachs recently and discovered that there were some Toyota part numbers on the box. I'm still using the OEM shocks.

The FSM says the ride height is 10mm (0.396") lower and only on the front. The rear ride height is spec'd exactly the same for sport and standard as long as you have the same diameter wheels. Actually the spec for the 16 and 17 inch wheels is lower than the 18" wheels by 8mm and 6mm respectively.
Oddly enough the way they tell you to measure the front and rear is different. No idea why, it just is.
So the only thing we really know is the springs have different part numbers and the shocks have different part numbers. None of it is adjustable in any way, and the shock manufacturer is Tokico? Anything else?

That's not what the Service Manual says. Check page SP-5 in the repair manual. It very clearly states the sport suspension is 10mm lower in the front.
I trust the service manual a whole lot more than any marketing material. I've seen egregious errors in marketing material, very few in service manuals.

They should be the same as Sport Pkg.
