Default Stock Suspension VS Sports Suspension

Halo everyone! Since we don't have the sports package offer in HK and MO...My friend and I are going to order the OEM Sports Suspension before I do that I would like to ask you guys who has the Stock or has the Sports Suspension what do you think about the Sports Suspension kit? Say the ride quality and comfort? Please give us some advice...

Thank you, Please vote for your choice

If it makes the IS handle like it should, then those Eibachs are worth every penny.

I have a IS350 with Luxury package, I notice that it have Tokico struts,
I believe both(Luxury/Sports package)have Tokico struts, the only difference is the springs. The sports package is just a bit lower and stiffer, as far as ride quality in my opinion the luxury is stiff enough.

The sport package includes shocks that have different valving and calibration along with lower and stiffer springs.

According to TIS, the difference in ride height is ONLY in the front, and it is NOT due to the springs. The difference in height comes from a taller front knuck on the sport suspension. The springs are supposedly the same for all 2WD ISx50s, but the dampers might be different.

All I trying to know is, is it worth it to change frm stock standard suspension to the Lexus Sports Suspension? I am happy with standard suspension at the moment... but my friend just keep say we should get the sports suspension since we will have bigger discounts if we get two sets so I really wanna to know should I really need this mod?

It would be REALLY nice if someone with access to OEM part numbers would check to see if the key suspension part numbers are different between the sport and non-sport versions (dampers, springs, and stabilizer bars).

I might be able to do that... since we order the sports suspension using the parts number... But do they use one part number for the whole set?

Doesn't anyone here know about that?

The reason we wanna the OEM sports suspenison is to keep the IS as original as possible... And also wanna to keep the warranty as well

I understand why you want the OEM sport suspension, but I think it would be wise to fully investigate the differences before you buy it. Otherwise, you'll be buying some of the exact same parts you already have. Your efforts would also be appreaciated by all of us on CL.

I just measured the outer diameter in the center of each swaybar. The front bar is 27 mm and the rear is 15 mm. Would someone with the Sport package please do the same? The front bar is most easily measured through the oil filter access panel.
