I wasn't aware that this was much of a problem on the IS250. I plan on replacing my OEM IS350 pads with less agressive pads when some are available.

Take off your rims, wash them with dawn and clay bar. Than wash with car shampoo and then give them a Zaino detail.

Not only will they look fantastic, the next few times you can just wash your rims and wipe them with a microfiber towel and they'll look just like new!

I was interested in the EBC pads, but I think they were ceramic. I wouldn't feel comfortable using ceramic pads when their aren't any aftermarket "OEM" rotors available.

Nope. I was looking at the back of the can and it said that it can be used on metal finishes. I say what the hell. It makes the rims very slick and water beads pretty good on contact.

I wonder why the "Red Stuff" front pads are so much more expensive for the IS250 than they are for the IS350...

the green stuff are more expensive as well. but yea, the difference for the red stuff is much more.

kinda sucks that the pads are more expensive for the "lesser" model.

Maybe they just expect less demand for the IS250 pads.

I'm looking for a low dust alternative break pad. I would go with the red stuff, but I just found these on ebay.

any good?

my previous car before the IS had tremendous dusting especially from the front brakes so i tried Hawk pads and the dusting decreased a lot so im waiting for these to come out for the 250's. my cousin had tried the ebc's on his infinite and he said that he had more brake dust than his OEMs .

Doubt it. I babied my IS for the 1st 1,000 miles (break-in). There was excessive brake dust on the front rims if I didn't wipe them off every other day. I got over it and now just clean the rims when I get around to it . . .

I don't know anything about the pads, but the advertisement says "2000 - 2005", and it implies that the IS's all use the same pad.

I don't know about the ebay pads, but I've had experience with EBC pads and they are fantastic for both stopping and minimum dust. I'd suggest sticking with EBC Greens, as the Reds grab very quickly and are more suited for the track.
