Which sway bars would you buy and why?

 

I heard TRD has a very harsh ride compare to Daizen.

i had both, i stay with daizen, ride is better for me. trd was harsher

 

What's your current suspension like? I had TRD on stock suspension and it wasn't that bad. Then again, I had the OEM 16's so no doubt the tires were absorbing some road feel. It's not as bad as it sounds. I have equally rough roads here in socal and my ride still feels almost like OEM.

 

I would go with Daizen, they are adjustable!

 

Ditto. Riding on Daizen now but was happy with the TRD.

 

It really depends how far you want to take the suspension and how you like the ride. From a few members here, it seems like TRDs on 16s keep the ride pretty comfy (because of all the rubber) while taking good advantage of the TRD's handling capabilities. Once you go 18s+ and/or put on other braces, the harshness of the TRDs will come out. The Daizens are VERY close to the TRDs in handling while retaining much of the OEM ride.

I too had both and prefer the Daizens.

 

Well I'm sittin' on 20's with L-tuned springs and stock shocks. Which reminds me, I have to take new pix.

 

What do you mean? Adjustable as far as what?

 

The rear bar has 3 settings to help control under/oversteering, depending on your driving needs and wheel/tire setup.

 

Oh that's cool, I think I'm gonna go with the Daizen sways. They're also less expensive by like $100 or so.

Jake, so how much better are the TRD's? I'm thinking about getting a set as well. The Daizen's aren't quite cutting it for me. Seems like they have a delayed response. When I do a quick lane change, the car still dives a little bit, but it flattens back up in a fraction of a second. Obviously its much better than the stock sways that don't even keep the car flat at all. I want a set that will prevent the car from even diving/tilting at all. Does the TRD do that for you?

I drove around in my friend's IS300 with Hotchkis Sways and everything else on the suspension was stock. MAN the handling on that thing was wayyy tighter than the GS. I guess the 500lb difference is a pretty big wieght penalty in the handling department

I paid $480 for my Daizens. I could of gotten the TRD's for about $530.
Really pisses me off that I didn't get the other set since it was only $50 more lol. Ah well, live and learn right?

 

Yeah, TRD did the job. If you ever go TRD remeber this:
Going from Daizen to TRD is as much difference as Stock to Daizen. Jeff, You need to go TRD if want to achieve your goals/handling wise

Daizen=Comfort/better handling
TRD=Handling for real!!!!

 

Ah damn...lol. Someone should of told me that earlier. Now I'm tempted to sell my Daizens for a set of TRD. So the TRD takes away the little bit of loose-ness/roll that the Daizens have right? I want the car to be completely flat all the time. A harsh ride is not really a concern to me since I'm still young
