I went more conservative with my Lex suspension and used Eibach springs and L-tuned shocks. The drop was a little over an 1", and the handling is very similar to my previous 5 series w/ sport package (except for the steering feel, as indicated in the other post, it is not nearly as tight as the BMW). If I did it again I would use the Bilstein shocks, but with the same springs. My GS is a daily driver w/ over 100k miles on the clock, and I have had this set-up for about 40k miles.

Wow nice to hear from somone who has experience both the 5-series and GS. How does your GS compare to a bmw 540 without the sport package? What other suspension mods have you done?

I am in the same boat right now. I have L-tuned springs (eibach) and KYB (l-tuned) shocks, with front and rear daizen sway bars. Handling not as bad as stock, but steering is definitely loose.
