I have Project Mu on my IS350. They look great. There is an article on the install on the latest TPR Magazine (www.tprmag.com.) in which they used my car. Watch out, your stocks will no longer fit!
I just ordered the street pads and they should be here soon from Japan. The race brakes pads (B-Force) are a little too crazy for street in my opinion. You get some sqweak with the race pads when they are cold. The 4 piston forged calipers work great and look great. $2800 maybe too pricey for some but those that got to have that JDM touch, what else is there? Some people that are unfamiliar with Project Mu and their corporate color ask me why I painted my brakes aqua blue (just like Tein is green).

Here is more info on my brakes. http://mackinindustries.com/md/proje...portcalip.html
I don't think you can just add their pads to an OE caliper. These brakes are larger than the stocks.

That website doesn't include weight.
I'm not trying to be an *******, but why Project Mu over StopTech, Brembo, or Rotora?

I would guess JDM and exclusivity.

The kit I bought is for the IS350. It does retail around $2800.00. I wanted to stay with a "Made in Japan" part. ARC, Volk, and Project MU are all brands distributed by Mackin and my car is going to be at the SEMA Show. Since we work with Mackin for our project cars, I wanted to support them as well on the IS350. I did choose these brands however because they were my personal preference. As for the rotor, it is slotted but not cross drilled. It is a Project Mu rotor and the aqua blue can be seen on the rotor mount. I just got my Volk GTS last week. The caliper and rotor shows even more now (going to mount this week but did put 1 rim on just to see how it looked).
