Eibach (or tein etc) Springs and Tire Wear
Hello all,
I am interesting in getting the Eibach Pro-kit lowering springs...but i cant help but think that it would change the geometry of the tire contact patch. For those who have put this (or any other brands - teins, JIC etc), have you noticed any increased tire wear on the inner edges of the tire?
thanks in advance!

oh...i should have also asked about the effects of smaller offsets (bigger dish) of rims in combination with lowering springs (coilovers). If someone could enlighten me with this, i would most appreciative!

The effects of a smaller offset have been nothing but positive for me.
1. the steering wheel feels more stiffer, and it makes it seem more sturdy when driving at fast speeds.
2. the corning has improved.
3. Treadwear has been about even with the eibach-pro kit.
4. The more u lower = the more camber = more un-even tirewear.

im lowered on the GS Teins and have not had my car aligned. Ive put 10k miles on my wheels and tires since i did the wheels and lowering at the same time. no uneven wear at all... maybe im lucky.

I have Eibach springs on my is350 and they ride as good if not better than stock. If you have the AFS option be warned. Some people (including myself) are having problems with the system throwing a fault code to the computer and then flashing the "AFS OFF" light on the dash. I took my car to Lexus of Portland today and was told the lights could be fixed but they would not modify my sensors on the car to do it. I have to figure it out on my own! If you don't have the AFS option I see no problem using springs....

Eibach Pro Kit is a conservative drop. A lot of people install it because it is cheaper than coil covers. Camber will not be off by a lot. If you have a RWD, the only thing you can adjust is toe. As long as toe is aligned, you will not have uneven tire wear.
