Default IS250 - Brakes-Need help pls!?

Hi everyone I'm new here!!!
Can anyone help to assist, have instructions, or tips on changing the front/back brakes to LEXUS IS250. I have about 15,000 miles already and I need to change my brakes!!!eeek. Please help on any tips because the dealer is asking for too much. Since my boyfriend is a mechanic he can do it but I am kind of a wimp on letting him touch my car. As long as I know that it is not hard and if there aren't any obstacles or lines that we have to be very extra careful. PLEASE HELP...Thank you in advance. **Mary**

There is nothing special about the brake system. If he can change the pads on a toyota camry, he will be fine doing the is250. It is not difficult, so just let him do it. Let us know what he asked in return for changing them for u...

In my best Dr. Phil voice:

"Hmm, seems like we have some trust issues here, Mary..."

Just kidding... b3dlam is absolutely right, a brake job is no big deal on your 250 - just as easy as any other car. Oh and welcome to ClubLexus!

How do you know you need new brake pads already ???
If your BF is a mechanic, let him check it out for you, maybe you don't need pads yet and the stealership was trying to fleece you . . .
