Default 07 IS350 X-Package w/Eibach Pros

Hi all,

One of my first few posts. I picked up an IS350 a couple of weeks ago and within a week I installed an Eibach Pro spring set. For an X-package '07, the Eibachs lower the car almost exactly 1" at all four corners. Top of the wheel wells to the ground in the front was 26.5" before and 25.5" after. In the rear, the measurement was 27.25" before and 26.25" after.

Installation is pretty straightforward. The stock springs are not progressive at all and the Eibachs are. The Eibachs are finished very nicely - almost a perfect paint match (as if it matters) to the SGM.

Here's a couple of before after pics.

Actually (hold your hat, Lexus), the ride feels BETTER. As you know, the progressive springs will be a little softer through the first 1- 1.5" of travel. It seems to be just right with the 350. There's some fairly significant highway expansion joint problem areas along certain sections of the 118 freeway here in SoCAL. The stock suspension had quite a bit of "bobbing" and the Eibach's ride a lot better through these same areas.

Showoff

Eibachs seem to be the way to go, though I'm still holding out for Tein :/

I'm not surprised. I was overjoyed to experience the same in my car. I was fully expecting a stiffer, more jolting ride, and I really can't tell a difference between my stock suspension and my Eibachs (other than the sexy, sexy ride height, of course )

why cant lexus just sell the car that way..............looks hot!
I have noticed stock bmw's seem to be a little lower, (better design maybe) well at least the wheel gap is filled out more.

I do all my own work. The IS is not hard at all.

I see it too(lift). Things are much easier and safer with your own lift. Lucky dog.

Yeah, I am a lucky dog. After 20 years of thinking about it, 2 years ago i finally built a 20'x50' shop where the centerpiece is a BendPak HD-12 (12,000 lb lifting capacity). This lift with an air over hydraulic 6,000lb rolling jack bridge and life is real good now when working on cars. Add two 28,000 btu AC units, 42" plasma, 8 in-ceiling speakers, a bathroom, and, yeah, it's an OK place to hang out.

Below the lift pic are two pics of a Branick 7400 spring compressor. This makes suspension work a VERY easy task.
