I do have vibration, but that's due to one of my front tire having a nail in it and I haven't gotten it fixed so it's out of balance

But if anything, it should help with the vibration since the steering rack isn't moving like before

One for my GS and one for my parents' GS. I won't have a chance to work on theirs for a while though, their pristine 1998 spectra blue GS4 with only 40,000 miles was rear ended slightly this past weekend. The rear bumper needs to swapped out and repainted.

Either way, I'll pick up a couple sets of these bushings.

Thanks!

Not the vibration cure that the pretensioner tighten was, but the word "precision" best describes the feeling after. I didn't have 2" of play like someone mentioned before, but a 1/2" movement of the wheel translates into movement on the road. The slop is nearly 100% gone with this and the pretensioner tightening for me.

As for installation... I drove the car up on ramps and removed the brace, then jacked the car up from the center and had both the ramps and jack stands as safety precautions. The pictures are for a 400 I believe so the 10mm shown is a little more of a pain to work around on the drivers side, but the instructions were flawless and made for an easy time.

Thanks again

installed mine this past weekend. It was an easy install, but it was just freaking uncomfortable working down there with just jackstands on the car. I'm pretty sure on a lift it would be so easy. Very satisfied.

Smile Bushings

Got mine installed today.

I thought my steering was really good,
but now it is absolutely ***********ing incredible.

Razor sharp is a good definition.

WOW!

Very good, no great mod. Everyone should do this.
The price is right and the results are spectacular

GSteg a big Thank You for a great tip, great review, and great DIY.

Many Thanks

Smile Steering Bushings

I drove about 200 miles on freeways and back roads yesterday.
I am impressed beyond belief with how the cars steering response is now.
What a joy to drive this car. Just the slightest touch on the steering wheel and the car goes in that direction. This mod really blows me away

Thank you

Just curious, did you install the bushings yourself?

Also, can anyone tell me whether it might be worthwhile to replace the OEM steering rack bushings with new OEM bushings. My 90k is coming up, and I think I may have my tech put in some new ones.

I'm sure it would help a little e.

I'm still not sure if Ivan likes them or not

I'm going to have to get these one of these days. Are you guys greasing them or not necessary?

Chuck -- Unlike the LCA Daizen bushings, I can't see how these could possibly firm up the ride. It's just that you know how I am about aftermarket stuff. Either way, whether it be Daizen or OEM, I'm sure Lexus could swap them out in a matter of minutes.

No I went to a shop. Took them just short of 45 minutes.

I think my car is incredible how it handles at this point.

Just recently switched from Daizen Sways to TRD's and I'm loving it.
Throw in RMM SC, JIC MAGIC Coilovers, all the Toms Braces, plus TC and LSD
