You mentioned only the "front passenger side brake". What about the driver side -- what condition is that in? If you've gone through pads at 15k, something is wrong (unless you're THAT heavy on the brakes). You might have a bad/sticking caliper.

And the rotor needing to be changed with the pads is complete BS. Lexus verified that my local dealer was incorrect.
Just call 1-800-255-3987
Its called a customer satisfaction garuntee.

They said there was a fraction of an inch difference on the pads, which doesn't make sense to me since the drivers side madee no sounds when braking. Well I don't have to worry bout it now, they only ended up screwing them selves.

Rotors and pads
Glad Lexus finally stepped in and did the right thing. It is a shame that dealer/Lexus corporate cannot be on the same page and thus not confuse the customer and create dissatisfaction.
FYI: The 2007 IS 350 brochure (Canada) has the following disclaimer re front rotors and pads."High-friction brakes are standard for the front brakes only and require periodic inspection and measurement as outlined in the Warrantees and Services guide. The pads and rotors are expected to experience greater wear than conventional brakes. Pad life may be less than 32000 kilometers (20000 miles), and brake rotor life may be less than 80000 kilometers (50000 miles), depending on driving conditions".
So when the first Lexus tech refered to "high-performance" rotors something may have been lost in the translation. On this point he may have been correct, however it appears Lexus corporate overuled him on the rest...to your benefit.
