ordered the parts already from sewell lexus, total costs is $348 including shipping (ground fedex) i don't know how much cheaper that is or the other way around all i'm concerned now is to fix my problem as soon as possible!
slickgt1-thanx a lot for the help man, about those tools u've mentioned it would be great to have those handy but i'm not the type of person who fixes heavy mechanic problems-this i would consider because this will concern my safetyness and such. i'm bringing my car to this shop that i know (they've been fixing and doing the maintanace of our cars ever since) and one of their good mechanic lives literally next to my house-and so no problems in bringing the cars to the shop specially on working days, whenever we need something he instead uses our cars to his work and return it after it's done!
again thanx a lot for the help

I have an 01 GS3 with 46000 miles and I do hear a slight knocking sound coming from the front end but I only hear it when I coming out of my garage when I start driving the sound goes away. Do you guys think it could be the ball joints?

Any shop can install it for you. Heck, I even installed it myself. Not a hard job if you have a basic tools and a pitman puller. You do NOT need to change the lower control arm. I left my outter tie rods alone because they were fine. They are not exposed to the same kind of stress as the ball joints. You can change it too for a peace of mine since you're going to take apart the suspension too. Grab a buddy and do it yourself

I have a 98 GS3 with 80k miles and i get s light clunk noise every once in a while pulling in the driveway or stopping. Ball joint??
My buddy has an 01 GS3 with 160k miles and has never had a problem and he drives it like its a crx. No strange noises and has never had anything replaced besides the oil and gas......

Hey Samster, I am in brooklyn, Sheepshead bay area. I got the Daizen control arm bushings and rack bushings. I only put it the castor bushings so far. But I have a spare set of control arms, with the daizen bushings in them as well. When I have time / and it warms up, I will test my zerk fitting idea and then see if I want to put them on. So basically every bushing is stock, except for the castor and rack. No noise from them so far, and it is brick outside now.
