Default Ceramic brake pads

Has anyone tried using ceramic brake pads on their 250? will ones made for the 350 fit on a 250? What are the pro's and con's when using ceramic pads? I remember when top gear reviewed the slr, a reviewer said that he couldn't feel the ceramic brakes when braking, as opposed to semi-metallic. Is this expected in all ceramic pads?

The only one I've found is the EBC red stuff ceramic pads.

Even though part #s are out for the EBC Red Stuff, I called around and no one has them in stock. There is one big internet wholesaler who said they have it in stock. But I bought stuff from them before and it was a bait and switch tactic they used on me.

I'm waiting until Akebono comes out with their ceramic pads. The rear pads are available now, but fronts aren't available until Q1 2007. Or maybe the Lexus TSB in Canada will happen in the US.

what TSB in Canada? The one about the dealer replacing the brake pads if someone complains about the amount of brake dust the OEMs make? Would the replacements be ceramic?

the brake pads for the 250 and 350 are different. at least for the front, not sure about the rear.

I would expect the rears to be different as well, since the rotors are .8" smaller.

Just an FYI - ALL the brake pads (front and rear) are different from the 250 to the 350.

So does anyone know what to expect with ceramic pads? Is there a loss of feeling in braking response or extent of braking?

I recommend from personal experience do not use the cermic pads
I have had nothing but trouble...
Constant squeaks and reduced brake response...
I used the EBC
You might try EBC yellow...
Hawk is coming out with a new front in JAn...
