Well my car just developed the notorious brake knock at 7000 miles. Lexus service states that its normal because the brake pads float in the calibers and when they heat up, they center themselves, blah..blah..blah...blah. Whatever, I did not buy a $40K car for it to make brake knocking noises and am quite embarrased when it turns peoples heads after hearing the noise. Lets see, of the approximately 14 other models/makes of vehicles I have owned over my lifetime (some include high performance vehicles) none have developed a brake pad related knocking noise.

Lexus better come up with a fix for this issue, because this problem is unacceptable in a car of this caliber or any vehicle for that matter with only 7K miles on it.
