Clunking noise coming from the front end

im having the same problem i get a clucking sound when im on citys roads and also when i go in reverse. took it to the shop and is the lower control arm its $170 each side at lexus

I bought new arms (found a much better deal than $170, check our suppliers here on ClubLexus) and put them on. Nope same annoying sound!!
I then considered ball joints. As I racked my brain under the car trying to find that noise, I finally found it!!!
It was the sway bar mount on the drivers side. Two bolts from the sway bar mount to the frame were visually loose, the other two were loose as well. I torqued them up to the spec'd 21 ft/lbs and the car is now PERFECT! I was pretty glad to find the sound but yes I spent a few hundred on lower control arms I did not need.
I have a thread in the for sale GS section for the pair of arms that I took off, they are just sitting on my garage shelf.
