Rate The Comfort Level A Of Lowered IS
Hi everyone,
I'd like to know how everyone likes the ride quality and comfort of their lowered IS. I'm thinking of lowering my car, but very worried that I will sacrifice the Lexus comfort that the OEM springs provide. Will lowering it with an aftermarket spring/coilover provide better comfort, or will it degrade the comfort quality?
On a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being the best AS IN STOCK), how would you rate the comfort of your lowered IS? Please provide info on the make/model/type of lowering product used.
Thanks!
-Ron

Replacing the dampers along with springs is always best. I'd opt for the Tein CS coilovers.
I see a lot of people here installing just springs and saying the ride quality is acceptable, not sure?

The Eibach drop is a very moderate/conservative one - I don't know the spring rate for them, but I can't imagine it would be too far from the sport package specs. Since I'm still running on the standard shocks, that's why my ride quality is unchanged from stock. When it comes time for me to swap my shocks, I more than likely will opt for the OEM Tokico with the sport package front valving.
