Default Rate The Comfort Level A Of Lowered IS

Hi everyone,
I'd like to know how everyone likes the ride quality and comfort of their lowered IS. I'm thinking of lowering my car, but very worried that I will sacrifice the Lexus comfort that the OEM springs provide. Will lowering it with an aftermarket spring/coilover provide better comfort, or will it degrade the comfort quality?

On a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being the best AS IN STOCK), how would you rate the comfort of your lowered IS? Please provide info on the make/model/type of lowering product used.

Thanks!
-Ron

I'd have to rate the Tanabe's with 20" wheels at a 7 or 8.

Another Eibach Pro Kit here, and since I have no idea how your rating system works, I'll simply put it like this: There's no difference in comfort from the stock suspension for me. Very similar to the stock (and almost identical to the sport) setup.

I've put suspension on every car I'ved owned in the last 24 years, well except the Toyota 4x4. I have never found just installing springs to be acceptable as far as ride quality.

Replacing the dampers along with springs is always best. I'd opt for the Tein CS coilovers.

I see a lot of people here installing just springs and saying the ride quality is acceptable, not sure?

Not that I know of, but here's something you all might find interesting... After doing some research comparing the OEM sport suspension to the standard suspension, I discovered that the only parts that are different are (of course) the springs on all four corners, and the front shocks only. The rear shocks on the sport package are identical to the ones found on the standard suspension.

The Eibach drop is a very moderate/conservative one - I don't know the spring rate for them, but I can't imagine it would be too far from the sport package specs. Since I'm still running on the standard shocks, that's why my ride quality is unchanged from stock. When it comes time for me to swap my shocks, I more than likely will opt for the OEM Tokico with the sport package front valving.

even now that it's stiff all the way, the front still rubs a little when I go through hard cornering.
