Default Tein Ss Vs. Cs Series............

I tried to do a search and couldnt find what I was looking for. I also contacted tein directley and I must have gotten a rep that rode the short yellow bus to school because he was clueless. My question is this. The car will be slammed, crancked all the way down. Are the springs on the cs series softer than the ss? I dont want a bunch of rubbing because the cs series is too soft. Of course I would like to have the better ride of the cs but now at the expense of rubbing because the cs are too soft. What spring will give me the lower drop? I would love to hear from the people who have experience with these two, whos cars are on the ground. I have cash in hand ready to order these things.

Thanks for the help,
Mike

have you seen the megan racing coilovers? they'll give you four inches of drop, no word on the ride though, I don't know of anyone who bought them.

Alot like bagged. Totally impractical in many places too. Fine for show though.

to the OP: In terms of stiffness, it usually goes SS, Flex, CS (stiffest to softest.)

If you're going to slam it, I would go with the SS. You're going to have enough issues with scraping, camber, alignment, etc., that you're not going to want to exacerbate it by going too soft.

I also think that you will not like the ride quality. In general, the lower you go, the stiffer you're going to have to get it.

If you want to slam it why not just get an Air Runner kit?

I wouldnt say its impracticle. I have driven slammed corvettes/vipers and have had no problems in sc.

I want it to be able to handle as well. I dont have to worry about leaking bags etc.

I kind of figured that. I dont mind a stiff ride. My viper is slammed on motons and is stiff as hell.

Best Coils for beign slamed plus stiffness and Tracking --- Zeal'z By far

Be prepaired to pay over 2k though

Also, i have heard alot of good things about the JIC coilovers, for our IS....

Good/dependable/and stiff when you set them to the proper settings

www.meganracing.com

I couldn't find much info on the zeals, other than the $3500 price tag, if I recall.

You should be able to find the zeals (6 way adjustable) for less than $2K fairly easily.
