95+ ls400 brakes DON'T work on 92' sc400

When people start to take their time and SEARCH/READ then they won't encounter problems.
I have the LS brake upgrade. Mine went on without ANY issues at all. There was NO cutting of the dust shield involved. I just unbolted it and took it off completely. Why would you waste time cutting the damn thing when you can just remove it??
I mean seriously, search and read the threads by people who have already done this mod and you won't encounter tons of issues. This is an easy, direct bolt-on mod that can be done in about 2-3 hours max.

1. removing the OEM dust shield
2. replacing the OEM rotors with LS rotors
3. using washers in conjunction with my OEM SC caliper bolts since I did not purchase LS caliper bolts, which are shorter in length.
Other than that there was no other modding involved.
Now I have heard of people shaving/grinding down their caliper to make them fit behind certain wheels, but that's not necessary if you have wheels that allow room for a BBK so I do not consider that a necessary modding aspect of this brake job. And others have switch from OEM brake lines to SS ones to eliminate the spongy brake pedal feel. But the basic swapping of SC calipers for LS calipers does not really involve any major modding other than what was stated. Hope this helps.

Mike I'm with you on the swap. It is too easy. I did my supra tt BBK swap in less than 2 hours. With the SS brake lines. And you are right about the fact that most of the members should be able to do this mod, without a problem if they take the time to read and use the search function. Thank You!
