Eibach Spring Install Question...

figured out the rattling problem....apparently the first shop installed the rubber bushing upside down. it is the bushing that sits on top of the bump stop. to anyone, it can be installed either way, but make sure that when the installer installs your springs, that they rememeber which way they go when taking them apart. now, i have no more noises or rattles!!!

wow.. it is good to know that it could cause a problem.

nope no damage really. i mean the rubber bushing is made to handle the full weight i guess? i mean it fits either way your put it in so i dont see if it would get damaged. but by installing them in wrong, i believe that it is the cause of the clunking noise.

Bringing this back from the dead! But can you help me and tell me if they actually cut your bumpstops? Im installing the Tein Stechs soon and wanna make sure I have all the info before starting. Thanks. Nice IS BTW! Looks almost like mines! LOL

nice pictures.. glad you got the problems resolved.. are you running spacers? how much were the springs and install?

Do you mean the yellow bushing in the picture. Is there a way to know exactly how should the bushing be faced?



I have also installed the Eibach springs but of the UK spec. which are softer than the US spec. and have lesser drop in the front.

yea its the yellow thing in the pic.

im not running spacers and the cost was about 180 to install and i think it was 200 for the springs.....i actually bought them off of STIG a while back.
