Spoke to service dept in my dealership and he said it'll only void suspension related parts which include wheels, strut assemblies and shocks. Otherwise you can still get you're TSB brake replacements under warranty post drop. I'm planning on taking mine to the dealership for an alignment after my drop.

Not if you purchase the Eibach Pro springs from the dealer, you can have them install it too if you have the cash. Oh, not sure if they will work on the IS250 AWD though.

^^^^ yeah that is always funny how "all of a sudden" the warranty is in effect if the dealer gets to install the part.

talk about a scam

No it's not a scam. If I was in Lexus' shoes I would do the same. Lexus can only provide warranty for the normal day-to-day functioning of the car. It cannot warrnty the car if you put after market parts which Lexus has not tested with. Besides, Lexus would only void the warranty on the compoments that touches the part that was repalced with the aftermarket part as stated above.

The only way to retain your warranty is to buy lexus-certified aftermarket parts (only HKS exhaust and Eibach Springs at the moment) AND have it installed by them, which i think is fair since a lot of people buy quality aftermarket parts but cheap out on the install with shady mechanics which creates problems - so why should Lexus have to provide warranty for that?

I bought my OEM front lip and rear spoiler from Sewell Lexus but decided to have my local Lexus dealer install the parts. Now both parts are part of the vehicle warranty =) I still saved some $ by going this route.

I sugged you buy the eibach springs (make sure it's the same part number as those offered by Lexus Dealer) and then pay your Lexus Dealer to install them. This way you'll save on the part and retain the warranty.
