LS400 Calipers Review
A week has gone by since the installation of my calipers, i tested them hard tonight during the rain tonight. I love it, I almost hurt my neck braking at 20 mph roll. I'm forgot the brand DS rotors and pads, i got them off ebay. I'd highly recommend this upgrade, i spent 200 shipped for the calipers (ALIGA-awesome seller). 200 shipped for the rotors off ebay with the pads.

they're over 12" in diameter, and it uses a MUCH larger, 4 piston caliper.
In order to install these, you need to trim (or do what I did- completely remove that annoying metal dust shield). I used OEM LS400 bolts, so I didn't need to use washers or spacers or anything. Also, I'd reccomend OEM sumitomo brake pads. Anything from a 1996-2000 LS400 will work.
Bleed the brakes, and you're all set I'll take pics sometime this weekend and make a thread. VERY good upgrade, it looks great, and the performance increase in stopping is tremendous.

I forgot to mention the following: Due to the large size of the caliper, most stock Lexus wheels won't work. I'm pretty sure they're nearly as big as Supra TT front calipers/rotors...
so you need to make sure the wheels will clear the brakes.

I bent the dust shield back enough where it was not touching the rotors or anything else.
Bleeding the brakes was the hardest part because you need an extra hand.

I just noticed you were from MI. what part of MI do you live in? I hardly see any modded SC's around. what year rotors/calipers did you purchase if you don't mind me asking?
