Has anyone used strut/springs on the 16" rims with spacers in the rear? Too poor to buy rims and new tires right now.So I wanted to lower the car since i hate how high it is and get rid of that sunken look in the rear with some spacers. Pics would be help full thanks

H&R Spacers are about as good as it gets. They come with longer lug bolts and everything.
If you are looking cheap and simple, then spings and spacers would be the way to go. Your ride quality will suffer from the springs, but that should be expected.
Use the wheel/tire fitment thread to evaluate the size of spacer needed that will push the wheels out but not rub with the fenders. On a budget, I am assuming rolling the fenders is out, and the last thing you want is to have to baby the car because of rubbing.
Drops range from modest (Eibach/Tanabe) to pretty aggressive (Espelirs). The springs will work with your stock shocks, but you are better off with a shock replacement with Tokico Blues or the like.
If I had to bet, 25mm spacers would be the way to go. Although, for the price of spacers all around, you could probably get some clearance wheels with the same width at a more aggressive offset and reuse your tires. Just a thought...
