I noticed my brakes squeaking today, but it is only when I am just about stopped at a traffic light or stop sign. you can't hear it when I am braking at a good speed. I read somewhere on here that there was a problem with squeaky pads, will someone please fill me in on what I should do. Thanks.

They just need to bed them and the squeaks will go away.

Well I am a solid 5 hours from the dealer and i don't feel like having my car taken away for a few days, unless they give me a 350 as a loaner haha, maybe I'll swing by midas or mieneke or pep boys or something.

What he's talking about "bedding" the pads, is basically squirting a bit of high temp RTV silicone on the back of the pad before re-mounting it onto the caliper. its a simple procedure...
If you can change brakes, you should be able to put a little silicone on the backs of your pads no problem...

Infact the dealership brought it to my attention last week (it didnt bother me) and they put an "anti squeak solution" on there and I haven't had any problems. Techincally guys squeaky brakes isn't always a bad thing but it is annoying as hell.

I've had a few cust come through with this problem. We have cleaned up the brakes and got rid of the noise, only to have it back in a couple thousand more miles. Lexus is supposed to be coming out with an updated pad, should be this month. I have several guys waiting for my call on this one. It's not going to be a recall but just a TSIB for those with the concern.

Just wanted to let you all who have patiently waited that the TSIB has been revised to include the IS250s. The TSIB is mostly for excessive dust on the front wheels, we believe that is may make a difference on any noises also.
Please contact your local dealer for an appointment if that is how they operate and make sure they have the pads in stock, my dealer ordered five sets to keep on hand.
