Price for a Brake Job - Your opinion

Price for a Brake Job - Your opinion
Quick question.
I have a 2001 GS300 which has just required a brake job. At 70,000 miles this is the first time I have done any brake work.
For a set of 4 Toyota Rotors and Ceramic Pads, Brake Flush - $600 incl.
Did I pay too much?

Quick lesson: If you've already paid for it, don't stress over whether or not you got a good deal because there's nothing you can do about it now except get ps'd off about overpaying for it. Pads and rotors you could have done yourself in under two hours and the flush you could have likely gotten done for less than $100.
Just enjoy your new pads and rotors.

Holy crap, no way. I mean don't get pissed or anything but I paid less for my timing belt job.
You didn't get raped too much, but they could have thrown in some vaseline.
Here is a slight breakdown. Brembo Rotors and Axis Ultimate Pads for all 4 corners cost me $225 shipped. 2 bottles of great fluid won't cost more than $35. The job itself shouldn't have been more than $150 - $200, free if you did it yourself. So you didn't over pay by much if any at all. Just enjoy it now.

Thanks for all the feedback...if y'all don't mind I'll pull my pants up.
Seriously though, I'm in an apartment complex in San Antonio Texas until August and all my tools and jack stands are in sweet home Alabama. I've done brakes before but all I have here is a BlacknDecker Cordless. SOL ya know?
These were original rotors...got it done at Cavender Toyota...Lexus of S.A wanted over 1,100 bucks for a brake job. Reason I changed them was because the pads were gone and the rotors were at minimum.
It's been a good thread...I appreciate the feedback.

You paid $600 for OEM parts (rotors, pads, shim) installed? That is a DAMN GOOD DEAL. Parts alone are $500. I don't know what numbers everyone else is talking about. Please tell me where you can get simply get these OEM parts (forget labor) for $300 and I'm there!!!

Not sure if they have it still, but it is worth a try. Go to bimmerforums.com, go to the group buy section, and find the Brembo GB link. Just contact ImportRP on there, and ask him for a quote. Basically as simple as that. You might have to pay a little more, because I got extra discounts for buying quite a few sets from him already for my cars, and some friends. But he will still beat pretty much every other price.
