I was wondering if anyone has closely compared the Daizen sway bars against the TRD. Most people seem to run Daizen but is that because of lower price?

TRD use to be cheaper than the Daizen, yet many people still used daizen

I can not say anything, because i am very happy with the TRD . big different. I am using stock suspension. This is the only mod i have in my car, so it is not too stiff, but the handle is 10x better... I can feel it within 20mph. on the turn, the car completely flat. it worth for the money..i got the approval from GSteg

I realize the lateral handling will be much improved with better swaybars but will Daizen or TRD bars result in a harsher ride when driving straight? I don't want to give up too much daily driving comfort, especially on highways.

it depends what you already have. I rode in a stock GS300 with worn shocks with only TRD sway bars and it was firm, but not harsh.

Three Questions,

1> Where exactly on the car are the sway bars installed?

2> Strut Bars, are they mainly for show or is there REALLY a good use for them? I've seen pics of them installed and quite frankly it just looks like a round or sometimes a flat piece of metal mounted on the frame where the shocks are located. Visually it looks useless to me.

3> Which of the two does a better job in reducing body roll lets say for a car that has a coilovers or even non-stock shocks & springs.

The sway bars connect the lower control arms.

You're going to have to go under the car to see the rear one. The front one can be visible if you lift up your hood and look at the area of the engine's crank pulley. There should be one big bar going across.

strut bar helps reinforce the chassis. It will not reduce body roll because it's just helping holding the chassis together. If anything, new springs/coilovers and sway bars will be the ones that help reduce body roll.

for our cars, the benefit from a strut bar is just as much as an injen intake. Coilovers and sway bars make a world of difference on our cars. i guess if you do track your car, then some chassis stiffening wouldn't hurt (stb, lcb front and rear, tom's 6 link).

You can not say when the shocks are worn.. Because you have to base on the the conditions of the road around your area, may be how you drive too...
