The IS250 brake dust is just as bad as the IS350's, proof inside.

With the barrage of complaints Lexus is going to get about the brake dust, they are going to assume that they got the sport/luxury balance of the car wrong.
They are going to take these data points and figure out that even their youngest buyers of the IS250 only care about their car appearance and/or getting a free set of brake pads. With this data in hand, can you blame them if they assume that upping the HP on the IS250 will not be a priority? After all, these TSBs will have to be paid for somewhere. Whether its via R&D for an upgraded engine in the future, or price increases on IS's, the people complaining run the risk of Lexus further going away from sporty intentions for the IS car.
Just clean your wheels if you care that much or grow a pair!!! Stop being so prissy about your shiny wheels.

I could care less if my front wheels are black 2 days after washing them...the brakes dont vibrate or have any issue other than slow me down from insane speeds with no drama.
Easiest way to solve the brake dust....Wash your car.

There's no lost performance with the replacement pads. You guys saying there are consequences to this have obviously not tried the low dust pads. I have them. They do exactly what they should have in the first place. Stop the car perfectly, and produce very little dust. Just like the Hawk HPS pads on my Supra.
This is a street car. It is not a racecar. It does not perform like a racecar. It does not perform like a true performance car except in a straight line. I just drove the car over my world favorite twisty road, and the car is fundamentally too heavy, too ponderous, and difficult to control because of the poor dynamics the automatic transmission offers.
It gets upset in turns because it downshifts when I brake hard on entry, then doesn't get the uptake right, so it is almost impossible to drive the car smoothly through a turn. The paddles are worthless in this regard. The brakes work marvelously to slow, but the combination of EBD and Brake Assist make for an interesting time trying to figure out what they're really doing at any given moment.
If I had bought this car to drive quickly over winding roads, I would be pissed off. Thankfully, I didn't. I would take my manual transmission Scion tC with 245/40/17s,Tein SS-P suspension, and Hotchkis sways over the IS350 on a tight road any day.

well... 350s have BBK.. when they get a tsb all they do is put the gs450 pads in exchange.. less performance less dust though.. hmm im only complaining about dust because when i get aftermarket rims they are gonna get dirtyy too quick! i can give a two s*** about stock rims being dirty haha

brake dust
i had my pads replaced. i just told the service tech on my 15,000 miles service that i get alot of brake dust. he told me we'll change your pads at no cost to you. i got the new pads, the braking is alittle different but not much, but totally happy with the results....."NO DUST" for like three weeks since i had the car washed. B.T.W. they turned the rotors also....so im happy with the new pads.....just my input on this topic.
