Nice job on the DIY.

Where did you get the pads for $53 shipped?

I'll do the same write-up when Liz's 250 brakes need replacing - and the way she drives, that shouldn't be too far away... Oh, and I used my trusty Canon PowerShot S80 for the pics - I love that camera.

As I posted earlier, I don't care about the brake dust - I like the performance the OEM pad offers.

Call Luis @ Carson Toyota (L-Tuned Parts). He had to order them, but I got them in 3 days. Oh, and make sure you mention ClubLexus when you call.

I noticed that as well - I wasn't a big difference, but they were a bit uneven.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments!

Correct me if Im wrong, but arent you supposed to have the rotors re-surfaced anytime you do a brake job?

Nope. I actually believe it's best to replace the rotor if it is bad enough to need a resurfacing. I've always had bad luck with resurfaced rotors. They always warp quickly for me.

Thumbs up

Very nice, Javy. Those pictures were great. I've never changed a set of brakes on a car but after reading/seeing that I'm not intimidated one bit. Thanks again for the contribution.

Great stuff! Curious, how much more quickly do you think the non high friction pads will wear out? Also, just to verify, are you saying you would seldom if ever have the rotors ground down?
