I am 97.2% positive that the calipers are different now than what they were before. Does the close up picture I posted above look like the typical stock caliper for the IS250? I don't have any previous pics of the original, but as I said, the original wasn't quite as big and didn't have that "C" cutout in the middle.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong... at this point I'd love to know mainly out of curiousity now.

Ask the dealer that installed the pads for the final answer, only they will know for sure.

Probably they just cleaned the calipers.

Just an update for my experience with dustless pads, so far they are excellent pads. I've driven for more than a week and I can barely see dust forming, trunks and rear bumpers are also a lot cleaner. I'm glad I did the TSIB and no change in braking performance.

Default Brake dust on is 250

My Lexus Dealer in southern California, Longo Lexus replaced my IS 250 pads over a year ago under warranty and they are dust free. My understanding was that Lexus dealers were replacing all of them under warranty.

Car is at 37k right now. 08 early model bought at Dec 07, do you think they will do this TSB still? I should have done it early (procrastination).

Some folks have gotten pushback from dealers if they come in with their high-dust pads already worn down too far... but by the text of the TSIB, yes, it's covered anytime within the 4 yr/50k warranty period, which you still have a few months left on.
