You're right - the springs are different. I was thinking of the rear shocks, which my manuals state are identical (48530-80288) between the sport and OEM suspensions... I'm not showing that 48530-80289 shock, so it's probably a newer version of the same part (much like the oil filter element part number).

I know what you mean. I have an IS350 with sport suspension. I got the Eibach pro kit and now I LOVE the ride. The sport suspension was too rough and tended to "chatter" over rough roads. The Eibach pro kit solved all that. It rides better and still have the stiffness for cornering.

Yes, suspension parts are different: shocks and springs all around. I`ve received mine oem sport suspension allready and now i`m waiting for pro-kit on my is250. Can`t wait to install all this But now i have springs and a set of non sport suspension that i don`t need

That is quite interesting - the shorter and stiffer Eibachs actually produce a more balanced ride than the OEM sports shocks/spring combo?

I have the sports suspension as well, and at times find the car a bit to busy over cracks/bumps on the road. Logic tells me that going to a lower, stiffer spring would only worsen it...

Could this be that the spring rates of the Eibach matches the stiffer OEM sport shocks better? Anyone else upgrading to eibachs from their OEM sports suspension noticed this improvement?

Can anyone else who went from Sports suspension to Eibach agree with this? I am debating on getting Eibachs but I do not want a stiffer ride than the Sports suspension. I find the Sports suspension a bit too stiff for my taste.

For those with the Eibach prokit or the Tein CS, have you noticed any difference in tire wear (like abnormal wear patterns). Sometimes especially with just lowering springs, there is not enough camber adjustment available for the tire shops to adjust out any negative wear, like wearing out the inside edge of the rear tires.

Anyone notice this affect?

It doesn't matter which suspension you have, if you lower it, tire wear will be increased. The only thing you can do is reduce the toe-in to slow it down. I went with the lowest amount of toe-in that still met factory specs. I think I'm going to reduce it even further to reduce understeer...

I'm still thinking there must be a way to adapt the cam set up from the Gen 1 IS/Supra to make the whole thing adjustable. I recently had the whole front suspension off my Supra (and I really mean the WHOLE suspension), so I got a good look at what I'd need to do, and it doesn't look all that hard. I'd just need an alignment tech smarter than his machine to understand how to adjust it.
