Default Air Suspension or Coilovers for the SC ?

I am in the process of restoring my SC400. What suspension would be best for your SC and why?

Depends on budget on what you're looking into doing with your car. Your question is to general both have their pro's and con's. If you're just "restoring" your sc400 coilovers would be your best option.

Lets say the budget was $5000.00 to refresh and inprove the stock set up. I would like to be able to "slam" the car at meets and shows and then be able to adjust back to, or close to stock for the majority of time as a daily driver. I would instal the EDFC with the coilover.
I hope this makes it more clear.

Air Suspension.

If you're going to dump it at the shows, you'll get sick and tired of adjusting the coils... one by one... where with air suspension, it takes one push of a button.

EDFC has nothing to do with height adjustments.

EDFC is basically = electronic dampening ... With air, like AutoCoutureSC said, at a touch of a switch you can raise/lower your car on the fly. www.universalairsuspension.com has a kit for the SC's.

I just got off the phone with Gordon @ Carson Toyota LTuned.

In his words: " Those guys don't know what they are talking about."

He said that with the EDFC I can raise and lower my SC from inside the cab like I want! I think I will stick to the coilovers w/edfc. I want to have a luxury ride when I want and still be able to adjust my suspension on the fly to have fun on canyon roads.
Oh ya and slam it when I go to a meet or show!

http://www.tein.com/edfc.html
I don't see anything regarding height adjustment but it would be nice if it did actually adjust ride height and not only the dampening of the suspension.

Your SC has a nice stance. What setup do you have?

LOL. That's a good one. If that was possible with the EDFC... I would have done that a LOOOONG time ago. Have fun with your purchase. If you can't figure out why the EDFC does nothing except make some "noise" ... then may CL have mercy on you. I would bet my car that it does not adjust your height.

So in other words Gordon at Carson Toyota is a lier and Tein is guilty of false advertising and are committing fraud.

My attorney will have fun with this one.

I have two friends that have EDFC on their TEINS, and iT doesn't, i repeat DOESN'T adjust ride height. It only adjusts the dampening.

Default Air Ride Suspension

I just spoke to a member that has air ride suspension and he really likes it. He said I can have a stock ride all the way to rattle your teeth ride and adjust ride height.

Air Ride Suspension wins!

I will be canceling my order for the TEINS.
