Question How can I tell if they really are...???

I am looking at ordering a pair of used TT Rear calipers for my SC.

Is there an easy way to tell they are actually the 2 piston TT version vs. the single piston NA version?

I just dont want to get ripped off. Thank you for any help you give!

This is a picture of the 4runner caliper but it shows how you can see the single cylinder for the single piston setup.

dual piston would have 2 cylinders.

, I always thought the TT fronts were 4 pot?

there should be a bulge on both sides of the caliper for a piston:

ps. these are REAR brakes that are in discussion, not fronts.

Seems like people didn't read very well.

What is all this talk about Fronts??

I am talking about REARS.

Thanks for the pictures and advice guys. Now I just need to make sure I am getting the best price. Someone mentioned NAPA to me which is great pricing for some reman ones but the CORE charge kills the deal. I don't have cores.

Ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks

No you ungrateful.................seems like someone doesn't understand EXAMPLES!!!

We were trying to explain that you can see how many pistons there are by the shape of the caliper!

Good luck with those NA calipers that are the same as your SC's.
And good luck getting anymore info from members

I didn't realize these two setences were examples:

" , I always thought the TT fronts were 4 pot?"

"sc300/ soarer/ NA supra have 2-piston front calipers. tt supra has 4 piston front calipers."

Totally my bad for miss reading it, not realizing they were examples. Sorry Dude

I had a member suggest to get em at NAPA and just return mine off the SC as cores. Said they would prolly never know. Makes me wonder...
