No it won't work. You need high temperature paint for the calipers.

Well, Lexus_Kid has Rotoras and it looks good because the car is modded. You don't want that kind of attention from calipers (especially red) if the car is stock and on stock 16's. If high-temp enamel red and powdercoated red looked the same.... then I'd say go for it. Otherwise, black is the most discrete color you can get. My main objective was to cover up the rust using a less "ricey" color.

Oh yeah, no one has moved this thread yet?

my car came with regular 16s. i upgraded to the stock chrome 17s and i love them so much. dont think i need bigger wheels.

and am still surprised mods havent moved this thread to the right place.

Wringo I think u have red colored calipers. I too have a silver GS and my calipers NEED to get painted because it's a dingy mix of whiteish, grey, silver- just ugly. Besides red, what other color would u have. I'm thinking of a silver or silver metallic.

I would stick with silver or black and some decals unless you've got aftermarket brakes.

I read in a previous post that you should not immediately install your wheels back on after the caliper paint job so that the paint can dry and cure properly. I only have a jack and was planning on painting a caliper and installing the wheel then work on the next wheel. Will I be okay doing it this way?

Keep in mind that the calipers on Lexus_kids car are not stock calipers, so the look will not exactly be the same on your car.

If i had the stockers i wouldn't even touch it, it's gona stand out more, but so what, it's still a 2 piston caliper.... you'll be just like any other civic thats try'n 2 represent a BBK,lol

bro... just save the $$$ on labour + paint etc and just put it towards LED tails to cover ur old school tails or just get some tein springs and drop it on the 17's,

Ur car needs those first before anything else,

of course I was joking. I just painted mine silver and with the silver stock 17's, it really looks nice. I'm looking for some white or black "lexus" stickers, but can't find them anywhere. Any ideas?
