Hawk Performance Brake Pads
After 20,000 miles it's finally time to replace my front brake pads. The dealer is charging me $325 to do the job with the OEM parts. I'd like to purchase and install the hawk performance pads (less dust, etc), but the dealer is telling me that this will void my brake warranty. Is it worthwhile to have this done and if so do you know of a good shop is Southern CA that is reliable and will do this?

ive been waiting on the hawks hps since i first got my car
i had these pads on my car prior to the lexus and it reduced brake dust significantly and no brake noise at all. wish they hurry up and make the pads for the 250awd already

How about swapping your brake pads per the TSB? If you qualify, it's even free. Hey that rhymes...I'm a poet and didn't even know it.
