Ok...
I put the Fit kit and the Shim Kit and 3 months later. I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. It more annoying then anything else to pull up somewhere and hear "Clunk, Clunk"

Its only when braking and turning. Just turning doesn't make the sound and just braking straight doesn't either. If you actually get it fixed. by all means let me know.

Default Fix it soon...

I had the same problem with my rear driver side brake. By the time it was diagnosed and fixed it had cause a hairline crack in my caliper. New calipers are being shipped to my mechanic now... On the bright side, the costs of brakes for the GS is NO WHERE near the costs of E39 M5 brakes!

ok. I am very novice when it comes to custom things. I am having this clunk at turns from reverse / stop / forward to straighten out. I have Supras and I am getting my Daizen bushings for the control arm, sway bar, and sterring rack for other strange from end noises. My question is, Will these :
shim kit # 04945-30140
fitting kit # 04947-30120
work on the calipers I have or are these only for stock? If they will not work for supras I have what will. Or am I not on the right track here?

Default clunking noise...

This happens once with my Lexus brakes so try to check this out…Let me know 'bout its development...Good luck...
Clunking noise during braking
• There are worn steering system components
• The disc brake caliper is not mounted properly
• Some of the brake hardware is damaged or missing

Shim kit and fit kit cleared up my 'clunking' problem. Thanks old dog! Must be those parts were on the car when it was new but the chucklehead at Midas that did my first brake job after I bought the car left the parts off. I just don't remember the car making that noise when it was new.

And this situation with Daizen control arm bushings being 'backordered' sounds like a conspiracy to me. I mean how freakin long does it take to make these things??

no problem.
sometimes you have to watch these Midas people. same exact thing happened to me at Midas.
they forgot to replace the shim kit back.
but that was when i didn't know how to DIY brakes.
i doubt i will ever take my car to anyone for simple stuff like brake change again. just to easy once you know what you are doing.
