Ball Joint part#s & price @ Sewell
I was looking at the Sewell beta website:
beta.lexus-parts.com
they have a search function where they list every ball joint part number for the car you enter. I put in my 00 gs4 and got close to 100 part numbers ranging in price from a little over 30 bucks to 90 or so for a ball joint. Are these old part numbers with bad prices or what? I checked the 30 something dollar ball joint and it said 'available'
Has anyone had any experience with their new site or these part numbers?

They are confusing, because theres no way there are 50-100 different balll joints for the car. I'm just trying to figure out if I can order the cheaper part number and get the proper ball joint.
I'd make a guess that those are old part numbers and theyve been replaced with new part numbers...anyone want to chime in on that?

it only takes 3 minutes to take the tie rod off, and 2 of those minutes are spent finding the tool to do it...just do the tie rods when they have play in them and postpone spending 90 bucks more....I'm not a big fan of throwing parts at a car. It might leave dents

Well, with my '99 GS4 at 125K miles, I think changing both at the same time would be a good idea. I have started to hear the clunking noise whenever I turn, so I'm hoping I don't have a wicked ball joint failure before my parts are delivered. I am planning on posting pics and writing up a DIY once I have completed the ball joints/tie rod replacement.

i called sewell lexus today and they quoted me about 90 bucks each for the l and R=180 + shipping but the link above shows 123 =shipping.
i have heard of others saying they got these for 110shipped from them or is it carson?
is there a CL discount code to put in at the checkout on sewell lexus?
i need to order these asap. squeaking sound is coming when wheels are turned.
thanks

Ball joints from Sewell $110 for the pair plus shipping. Next best price was $68 each from ******************.com which also sells genuine toyota parts. Changed mine 2 weeks ago @120k miles. Worth every penny at twice the price.

I just called Peter and told him I found Sewell on CL. Very helpful and very professional. Also did tie rods and Daizen steering rack bushings with my shock/spring/swaybar install.
