If I want it just for the look, (maybe performance 20%) will it be too much?

hmm still very hesitant on whether or not to order these. i actually ordered them, but thought about it and canceled. i wish i could really put the brakes to the test with an IS350, before i make my decision.

You may like to take a glimpse of this link for my IS250 switched to IS350 front brake unit. I feel much more confident (and of couse more efficient) when braking with these big rotors.

I thought the Shoptech/Brembo BBK brake set for IS350 is around $1000, was I dreaming? If they are around 1k, why not spend the extra and get the aftermarket brakes.

I'm very tempted to switch my brake to BBK, but just need sometimes to justify the purchase. That's all.

Anyway, keep us posted if you actually got it switched.

yes i think you were dreaming. most bbk cost around 2-3 grand for the front. and another 2 grand for the rear. maby what you were looking at was the price for just the calipers. and if you werent dreaming, please send me the link. ill buy it right now

Ive got a IS350 and hate the brakes....well mabe not hate but I think they are a bit too soft and make a huge mess of your front rims just after short trips. Im planinng on getting aftermarkets soon.

hmm perhaps a set of rotoras will do me good. how much different would the 4 piston setup from rotora be compared to the stock setup on an IS350? i do believe that the rotoras have more surface area on the rotors. would that be a significant difference?

Just curious. What are you doing with your IS250 to make the brakes fade so much you feel you need better brakes?

i guess you can say that i dont really "need" them, however i do plan on tracking this car one day, and the brakes would come in handy. and i would also say that i am a pretty spirited driver so when going 135 on an empty highway, i would like the peace of mind that i "can" stop. and "stop" fast when i need to.
