Is there a brake dust TSB or not?

They replace the front pads. The performance may have changed a bit but I think it's a small price to pay for having clean wheels. It's been almost 2 weeks and there is very little, if any, dust. Then again, I drive a 250awd so the change may be felt more if you drive a 350.

Umm. No, there is no difference in normal driving at all with the IS350. There may be if you constantly ride the brakes and make your rotors glow red, but otherwise, you will not notice any difference in performance except the new pads are easier to modulate, and they are more quiet than the original pads.

The other thing you will notice is the car does not look like a BMW with black front wheels from brake dust every 100 miles.

Why rotors?

The TSIB has nothing to do with your rotors, just a different pad.

I don't see why they wouldn't. The only thing the rep said to me when she was here is that "if the cust were going to complain about the amount of dust they would have done it by or at the first service." I'll take care of my customers as long as they let me. I think a good mark on a survey is worth them paying for new pads.

Totalstu: I got everything fixed today. My car sounds pretty solid with no rattles.

Brake Pads + Rotors, the TSIB might not state to replace rotors but my dealership did it for me. The brakes feel the same, but just like everyone say they no longer bite at very low speeds.

If you don't believe about the rotors, here's a pic.

That's interesting that the tech would replace them and not cut them, cutting pays the tech more. Oh well.

My opinon, that's how they should be done. (rotors and pads)

Good stuff. You're one of the lucky few to get their rotors replaced. My dealer wanted $190 to cut the rotors  I politely declined.
