Default Bilstein PSS coilovers

Does anyone have them? How's the ride quality and handling feel? I know most of you guys have tein HA and I've personally driven one and sat in one. However, I would like to do a little comparision before i spend my money. The Teins are in the $1100 range and the bilsteins are only $899 all over the internet (probably cheaper after i do a some shop around). The drawback for the bilstein is only height adjustable while the tein got it all. So back to my question, does anyone have them and do you have any comments?

davezaristo, Rodney at MAS is running the Bilsteins on his GS4. I was looking at the PSS about a year ago when they first came out and the asking price was closer to $1600. Have not looked at prices since then. Have you found any local source that will come close to $899??

The $899 price is all over the internet but I haven't checked anywhere local yet. I figured the shipping is probably going to be less than the tax so I am more leaning toward buying it online. Yes, I do know Rodney is the only one that has them. But since he's asking for $1099 a set (which means I won't buy it from him since everyone is selling for less), I wasn't sure whether it's a good idea to ask him for comments since there maybe a conflict of interest. You know what I mean.

Actually, rodney is asking for $1150 as a sale price on the old classified post. Did he quote you for a different price?

No, I don't have a better price. As I mentioned, the last time I checked prices the quotes were all around $1600. There's a shop in Fremont [880 + Stevenson, along the access near Costco] that also sells them. I'll have to drop by and see if they have dropped their price.

Regarding the conflict of interest, I don't see it. Rodney is a CL member, has a GS4 and participates in CL events. You are asking him as one member to the other -- if anything, the conflict is in the other direction [if he refused to talk to you on the off chance you would not buy from him].

Myself, I'll probably fork over the extra $$ and have a local shop handle it. I'm a lazy SOB and when things go wrong, I like to have someone to blame [aside from myself] that I can b*tch to in person.

In that case, I guess you should go with a local shop. You pay more but like you said, you can blame somebody if **** goes south. Well, I am planning on installing it myself so to me price is the more important factor.
