I say shave it down till it's flush and you shouldn't have an issue.. Use an ngle grinder (get a cheap one from harborfrieght.com) and make sure to keep the fender cool by spraying some water on it.. Or you can roll as others have stated.... it's up to you..
more aggressive than rolling? mine are two pieces of sheet metal thick... it doesn't get any thinner than that... no paint damage when done properly either...
That sounds like one hell of job then ....99% of the fenders I have seen shops roll do not come out like that.
Okay update, I had to put on 275-30-19s AND get the fenders rolled. After doing that it looks like I'm good even on hard turns and bumps. For those in the DFW area Keith's Crafts in Plano did it for 125 and had an excellent turn around time. I'll post some pictures once the weather clears up for more than a day and I can do a good wash. Thanks again to all for the help.
