My sc4 has 166k miles on it now and I am figuring the the suspension is a bit worn. With my driverside balljoint done for I know I need that replaces and the only cost effective option is the Supra LCAs. Should I be looking into springs/stuts? If so what kind should be best for my application? Also, Should I be worried about the bushings in the rear? I want to make sure my car can be aligned correctly.
I do not track my car or race it so I want comfort over performance so let me know if you think.
This is my proposed new set up:
2 new front Supra LCAs -460
daizen Steering Rack bushings - 40
New Struts (Kyb GA-2)- 65 x 4 = 260
Rear Bushings - ??
---------
760+ Rear bushings

Bumping this to the top ...
I think I am gonna go with new struts and reuse the old springs - Anyone think this is a bad idea?
I have no clue what to do in the rear since I am gonna be putting rubber bushings in the front ....
Please Help !!! Thank You

Thanks for the reply, I have read that thread and i dont think it will be ready in time for me since i plan to do this in the next few weeks. However, I will probably have a set of control arms to donate if i can figure out what i am gonna be doing to the rear before i give up and just buy a newer car,the 2nd Gen GS bug is biting me ...

leave the rear alone unless there is a problem... closely inspect the upper rear bushings as these seem most prone to wear...
the GR-2's are great for a suspension refresh - they have about 10% more dampening than stock, to take up for that extra little amount of play that might be in the bushings...
once you do your LCA's and check the rears, nothing wrong with getting the alignment done and you should be ready to rock for a while...
