air runners anybody?
#16
I own a 98 GS400 with air runner suspension. I've has this kit roughly over a year already. I havent had any problems what so ever. The air runner set up is a straight bolt on just like changing out factory suspension to coilover suspension. The compressor really isnt as loud like those suv/ trucks with air, most of the time i dont even know its on. I would have to say that this is the best mod that I have ever done. The ride quality is great, it doesnt even feel like im on low profile tires. The ride is just like how i bought the car stock. I hope this information helps.
Thank God someone with experience actually chimed in. Funny how there are always more "opinions" than there are facts.
Airrunner rides as smooth as stock, and so do properly installed hydraulics. Actually, on an IS I would venture to say that they would both ride a tiny bit better than stock.

Well I don't know how familiar you are with air suspension, but Bold World is another good brand to look into. Here's a personal between both air runner and bold world.
Price-
Airrunner is cheaper by hundreds
Differences-
The Airrunner system is comprised of Air struts while BW is
Adjustable Coilovers with Roberta cups
The air tanks are different as well, BW is a 1 gallon tank due to only
having fill the air cups while AR is 5 gallon to fill up bags.
Both Provide great drops
BW is only 2 switches (F&R) while AR is 4 switches that control all 4 corners.
It really depends on the kind of driving you do to determine which kit
is best for you.
If you like to drive hard, then BW. If you just cruise, then AR
Parts are easier to obtain for AR due to the fact that they are locate in Cali
Both are superior in quality
Both are Bolt on

from what i know the kit itself is about 4200 i dont even know if that includes shipping, and i hear that the install is a straight bolt-in to replace the spings and shocks as for the air compressor if you really want that sound and can get use to it coming on every sec or so.. i think it may get annoying but for some reason i still want them

Its been nearly a week now. Im impressed with the system. There is adjustable damp so every ride height is smooth just like stock. Realibilty is never a issue with Airrunner. The best system by far. Big ups to AutoFashion!
