Brakes question for 2004 gs300
Hello there,
Is it possible that rear brakes go out quicker than the front ones? I had fronts and backs replaced the same time when my car was at 20k-25k miles, but now my car is at 40k miles and my back brakes look more worn off (visually) and the brake sensor light below the sterring wheel comes up. My driving is very conservative. Can someone help me with this question?
Thanks much

DO you have a lot of passengers riding with you? heavy trunk load?
I am assuming when you changed the pads initially, you used OEM for both axles.

No I don't have passengers and I'm not even carry heavy load in my trunk and yes front & back brakes are OEMs, it's just does not make sense to me that the backs get worn out quicker. Thanks for post/reply guys.

Yeah, there is no brake pad sensor on our cars. I'm 99% sure that you just accidentally nudged the parking brake when you got in/out of the car. Pull the brake release and that light will go away

i replaced my rears twice before i replace the front once. the second time around on the rears, i found that the caliper was stuck.
oh yeh, as the other have said, there are no brake sensors.
