Default Lower arm came off

I was driving my sc300 and when I was about to make turn my lower arm came off on passenger side it separated from ball joint. I had both lower arms replaced
just a month ago with supra lower arms. What would cause it to come off. Was I cheated and old part was reused.

if the parts are only supposed to be a month old, they should still look new...

I've never heard of a brand new ball joint failing (not that it can't happen, I just haven't seen it happen)....

pics? did the ball joint break, or did it come out of its socket?

It happened at low speed i was driving on side road came to turn into major street and felt resistance and hear noise as the lower arm came out and scraped rim. After it was done i heard a noise coming from passanger side going over bumps but it went away. How is lower arm ball joint attached to uper arm ?

it's not attached to the upper arm, it's attached to the steering knuckle...

ball joint is a pointed, movable joint that has a smooth tapered area, then a threaded area on the end - this goes through a hole in the knuckle, then a nut goes on top to affix it..

here's a picture of a ball joint off the car (not ours, but similar) - when installed, that rubber boot is squished down as the ball joint is pushed through the knuckle....

If it was done by a shop about a month ago I'd take it back to them lickity split and have them pay for any damages that might have caused you. That is so dangerous. What if you were on a highway or something?

I had a tie rod end give up the ghost on me on my 3000GT years ago, and believe it or not, I was able to get the car off the side of the freeway safely and parked it...

were the parts brand new?
