Default H&R Springs

Wanted to buy Eibach's but needed a little more drop, Tein was too much, so H&R seem perfect.

Anyone got em?

H&Rs are pretty good, my brother is running them in his E46, the race springs. The drop is awesome, tucking tires LOL I personally like the Teins even though I havent installed them yet but I am this week. I dont even think its enough for me another 1/4in would be nice

I used to have a set of H&R sport springs on my TL-s and thought the ride was excellent. I would have gotten them for the IS but the dealer installed a set of eibachs for me at a really good price..

currently they only make the Sport model. when both are installed, i will reply back with which one i like more, and which one rides better. obviously--most who are in the market are willing to sacrifice ride quality for a more aggressive look. in case they ever plan on making a Race spring for the IS350. i will post back to let you guys know whether or not to wait, or get the sport springs.

Race springs on the 335i are going to be way better hands down. Cause the drop is much lower I'll get a pic of my bros car and show you guys.

Yeah, but personally I think H&R's drop on the IS350 is perfect. 1.4"/1.2" I believe, not to mention, when I throw on a lip kit, it'll lower it another 1.5-2", so in total with the springs/rims/lip kid, the car is almost 2.5-3" lower than OEM.

Does lowering a car really help the suspension? Lower center of gravity, but does it really handle better?

Some cars might handle better lowered, but it often reduces handling performance since it changes roll centers and suspension geometry. I like the slightly stiffer feel that my car has with Eibach's, and I like the way it looks, but I doubt it would be any faster on a road course.

FWIW, many S2000 owners found out the hard way that their cars were significantly slower on the track with thousands of dollars worth of suspension mods than they were stock. They felt faster, but the lap timers showed otherwise.

Yup, the S2K are very sensitive to suspension changes and tire width changes. They get very tail happy when either are changed improperly. Lowering them makes them very, very tail happy.

Could not agree more, spend on the driver first, and then on the car.
