I know on mine that the struts were in average condition. They held up while I had the car though. But it's always better to get a matched strut and spring combo.

I have espelirs and tokico blues. I think the combo offers a good drop and nice stance. But ride quality is much stiffer than stock - I feel nearly everything on the road.

Much stiffer in a good way (feels planted at speed) or bad way (rough ride)?

Do you guys have any pics with them on your cars? I've wondered how the drop looks.

^ looks good. 18"s? I am running 19's (still in my garage in boxes cause I dont know what I want to do for suspension). On my last car (S14) I went with a set of Tein Flex, I kept them on setting 4 or 16 because of the rough ride. On this car I want it low enough to fill the gap but still have a good ride.

old car:

BOTH!

The ride is significantly rougher, but the car sticks to the road damn well at speed (it did with stock setup too, but moreso now) and its much flatter in the corners

I had the espelir/tokico blue combo also. Ride was firmer but suprisingly comfortable for the drop I had. I expected more bounce but car rode very nice.

I suppose it depends on whom you are asking and where they live. There are those individuals whom live in areas with nicely paved roads / highways that encourage a stiff set of springs and then you have individuals whom live in areas like NYC that with poor road conditions where the stiffness of the Espelirs can sometimes be overbearing.

My father hates riding in my car because he is always spilling coffee on himself.

Yeah that's on 18's. I love the ride height but the ride height around my area would be unbearable as I have ridiculously high speed humps and huge ramp to get into my apartment lot lol.

Probably the shocks themselves making the ride seem firm. Sounds like a good way to get good handling with that combo on a budget though

Are any of you running 19X8.5(f) 19x9.5 (R) w/ this set up. If so are you having any fender problems. I've purchased the espelirs and tokico blues, but I'm kinda scared to get the wrong tires, cause my wheels are +35 offset. I been reading alot of threads that talk about hitting the fenders.

The "Official Wheel & Tire Fitment Guide for SC300/SC400" wasn't much help for me.

You can run that, but you will probably need to roll the rear fenders.
