Which kind of struts should I buy?
Hello.
I have a 92 Lexus Sc300. I was looking into buying some new struts, as it seems like the struts are starting to wear down, and it is affecting the handling of the car. The struts I have on there now, I beleive are OEM. I was looking to go with something a little different. The ride seems a little stiff, and I was looking for something that would ride smoother. I was looking into the Gabriel shock/struts to put on. Was wanting to know what you guys think about those, or if you might want to recommend some other kind of shock/struts that would better suit my needs?

new OEM shocks will ride as smooth as butter. anything aftermarket tends to ride more sporty.
if you are well over 100k miles, look into getting your LCA bushings replaced too. bad bushings will really do a number on ride quality (and the soft rubber stock Lexus bushings are known to degrade).

So who are the OEM struts made by? Are they the GR-2 gas KYB? Any recommendations on the bushings that would last longer, since the OEM tends to wear out faster?
