Default What do you think of the updated brake pads

So I finally gave in and asked for the TSIB done because I was spending more time washing my wheels than anything else.

So the new brake pads have a softer feel and more modulation and less "bite".. It seems to need a little more foot pressure to stop the car.

But the dust is significantly less

I believe there is already an extensive thread on this where lots of people talked about their new brake pads. I love mine and would never go back!

I jsut got them installed today and it takes a little getting used to because if you tap on the brake the car stops. Seems like these brake pads are better than the original ones.

The TSIB pads are what should have come on the car in the first place. Better in every way for a street vehicle.

Can you help me with something..

Service advisor put down my complain with excessive brake dust on the invoice, new pads were installed, part # 04465-53020. I searched this up and this is still the old part #. The new part # is supposed to be 04465-53030. (for IS250)

the brakes does seem less grabby but I don't really have enough miles to assess the dust accurately yet. I searched and one other member had this old part # on the invoice also but noticed less dust.

The SA did call me and said the they found out there is updated pads but have to check if the part is in stock, later it was found in stock and installed.

Not sure what is going on. Is it possible both part # will made of same material from now cross referencing each other, so no one will be able to get the original dusty pads anymore?

If you put on EBC pads, you might as well keep the OEM pads. The dust is almost the same. But if you already got rid of the OEMs and want performance, then get EBC.

I think the updated pads are awesome. But that's my opinion. Everyone's impression about this is different.
