95-00 LS400 front brake caliper or only 95
I usually hang around in 1 gen gs300 forum, but I need your help.
I have a question for you who have SC300 and replaced your front brake caliper with LS400 brake caliper.
I read that SC300 and 1st gen GS300 front brake component are of same size and dimension. Also read that some of you did the LS400 brake caliper swap.
Those of you that did the swap, will all 95-00 LS400 front brake caliper work, or as some say ONLY 95 LS400. Do you need rotors that fit the LS400 or use the stock rotors from your SC300?
Thanks.

I've seen the swap done on a 1GS, its direct bolt with the exception of removal of the heat shield..Any 4 piston caliper from 95-2000 LS400 will work with your 1GS, you'll need all the hardware that comes with the caliper... shims, bolts, clips, pads etc...In addition, LS400 rotors will needed to accomdate the oversized calipers...SC or GS rotors will not work...
