JIC FLT-A2 seems to be an old school coilover now in Japan. Do you remember which Teins you drive on? I've been on a set of old school HA's, SuperStreet and Flex... the SuperStreets are quite comfortable, but the HA's were a nice stiff ride, the Flex even more so.

The spring rates for the Supra "Fives" sound a tad stiff - 14.0f/10.0r compared to 10/7 for HKS and 10/6 for Tein CS - but the damping is 16-way adjustable so I'd imagine it wouldn't be bad on decent roads - probably comparable to Tein BASIC or FLEX.

Default Please clarify!

As they were talking about on page 1 of this thread, will 93-98 Supra coilover systems directly bolt on to a 95 sc400 without any modification, or just the SC300? Please clarify!

The tanabe fives and the Tein CS are nice but they do not drop the car low. They both have a comfortable ride.

i have the JIC's right now. They are ok, too soft for my taste. i voted silk roads becuase of the huge piston in them, they ride really nice in my shop's s14. I would just get different spring rates with a 18/16 and valves adjust accordingly. so if someone wants to trade me... :-)

I'm currently using the Tein SS and I love it. It's firm but very acceptable. The related thing that can enhance or worsen the ride is the bushings. So if you have bad or stiff bushings, the ride will be bouncy.

Anyone tried D2 Racing ones?
It seems like they go little bit cheaper than Megan from this web site

I have brand new JIC FLTA2 on the way.

Sold my tein HA's

Pulled from JIC's web site

The JIC FLT-A2 is the flagship coilover system. All FLT-A2 coilovers are designed on US-spec vehicles for US streets, fitment and performance is unmatched. Included in the kits are pillow ball upper mounts with adjustable camber plates. For flexibility, the dampers have 15-way compression and rebound adjustability. The spring rates are of the linear-rate type with independent ride height adjustable lower brackets. This allows adjustment without compromising damper compression or rebound travel. Based off of racing technology, the FLT-A2 is a street performance suspension, customizable for full time track use.

stance all the way. the ride is stiff but i liked it in a friends 95 sc300 5sp(its a girl too ). i would love to have a set of zeal coilovers but the price and the ride just sucks for the street. my buddy had a set of zeal on his fc rx-7 and they are jaw-rattling. on the other hand on the track it handles like a mother......
