Default TRD big brake kit?

Does anyone have these on? Are they worth the $1700+? Or should I just get LS or TT brakes?

Where did you find a Brembo BBK for 1300? Its around 3k everywhere I've checked..

BTW, I looked over the TRD kit and it looks like identical to the Supra BBK with the exception of the rotors and brake lines..

I run the Supra tt set up all around..The calipers ^^ in that pic look exactly the same except the color/rotors and lines. Is that the real trd kit or a painted tt kit?
Btw i feel a big diffrerence..

^Yeah that's the real kit. I guess I should start looking around for the TT setup then if it's almost the same.

I've heard rumors that the TRD kit uses slightly modified LS calipers....

Yup. They are definately not LS calipers.

This is an LS caliper:

That is the 94- LS caliper. I believe the caliper in reference was the 95-00 LS caliper, which is indeed four piston like this TRD kit.

These are the LS calipers of mention:

However, the TRD kit looks identical to the Supra calipers in terms of form. Perhaps the TRD kit utilizes aluminum rather than iron, but it appears that the identical mold is used for the TRD kit that was used for the Supra calipers.

If you want to achieve this look from the Supra calipers, begin by painting a base coat of 1200*F white engine paint. Then, go to the internet and print out a TRD logo, making it the appropriate size in a photo editing program. Cut out the letters, and -using rubber cement or a glue stick- afix them appropriately to the caliper. Cover with 500*F red gloss engine paint. Once cured, remove the letter cut outs and the adhesive residue. Finish with 500*F clear coat for protection.
